Seals Trade Withers to Red Dragons for Kayode

In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the New Zealand Seals and the Hanoi Red Dragons have agreed to a deal that will have 31-year old 2B Harvey Withers and a 5th round draft pick heading to Hanoi in exchange for 27-year old SS Berihun Kayode and $7,250,000 in cash. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games.
This season, Withers is batting .262 with 84 hits, 9 home runs, 48 RBIs, .356 OBP and has scored 61 runs.
So far this year, Kayode is hitting .236 with 5 home runs.

Setback for Arrows and Renan Catalan

It was learned today in Seoul that first baseman Renan Catalan would miss more time because his recovery from a strained hamstring was not going as well as expected. The Arrows, however, were quick to relay that the setback did not seem to be serious and that Catalan would only miss 2 weeks more.
To date this season, Catalan is hitting .268 with 3 home runs.

Yasser bin Kalil Wins MVP in Western League Victory over Eastern League

Despite his best efforts, game MVP Yasser bin Kalil's Eastern League All-Stars couldn't overcome the powerful Western League squad in the annual All-Star Game.
"We tried our best, but did you see the talent in that lineup?" bin Kalil was quoted as saying after the game. "I'm honored to be named MVP of the game. To stand among the greatest stars of the game and be declared the best among them is truly an honor, even if we didn't end up winning the game. I had fun, and I think the fans did as well."
The Western League All-Stars triumphed in the game by a final score of 10-7 in this year's game at Rio de Janeiro Ballpark.
To date bin Kalil has a .279 career batting average and has totaled 42 home runs.
