Baudry Keeps Hit Streak Alive

Rio lost to the Havana Pirates 5-3 at The Little Devil today, but Byron Baudry kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 1 hit. The Macaws third baseman has now delivered hits in 20 straight games.

"Byron has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Rio manager William Figueroa told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had."
Byron Baudry hit a solo-shot off Nate Gunter in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.

Baudry currently has a .279 batting average with 77 hits, 7 homers, 22 RBIs, 38 runs scored and a .332 OBP.
