Jaguars Top Towers to Even Record
|
Cusco got a first-rate effort from pitcher Brendan Dawson, who frustrated Dubai hitters en route to a 3-0 Jaguars triumph at Emirati Ballpark. The winner was Dawson. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Sami Mellouk. Dubai now owns a losing streak of 5 games.
Cusco relied on the bat of Demesu Hekima to get the win. The second baseman ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the Jaguars ahead, 2-0. For the game, Hekima had 1 double and 1 triple in 4 at-bats.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Cusco manager Harvey Evans.
