Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Jazz
|
It took 13 innings, but the Jakarta Jazz were able to beat the Stockholm Vikings, 5-4, at Jakarta Grounds. Mircea Halici provided some offensive muscle for Jakarta. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Kolenka Feschenko came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 3-2. Jakarta now owns a record of 29-19.
The game ended in the bottom of the 13th when Halici hit a tie-breaking solo home run. The long ball, his 9th home run of the season, gave Jakarta a dramatic win.
"Exhilarating win," said Halici.
