Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Tokyo Choho take on the Delhi Destroyers.

The Delhi Destroyers defeated the Tokyo Choho, 8-2, at New Koshien Stadium. Delhi second baseman Ken Byford had a superb performance. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Ghedi Tuwile was the winner. He's now 2-1. The loser was Andrew Eastick.

With Delhi leading 2-1 in the top of the sixth, Byford hit a splitter from Andrew Eastick for a grand slam home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Destroyers ahead, 6-1.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Byford.

The win elevated the Destroyers to 21-21.
