Towers Rally to Win
Dubai pitcher Krystof Svaricek did his part in helping his team defeat the Istanbul Scimitars, 5-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The winner in relief was Asil bin Mahdi. He is now 5-1. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. The third-place Towers have a record of 23-16.

Dubai used the timely hitting of Sebastiaan Beverwijk to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Towers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Svaricek called the win "a collective effort."
