Tango Rally Late to Clip Rio

The Rio Macaws got a superb performance from pitcher Patrick Da Silva, but the Buenos Aires Tango still won the game, 3-2. Da Silva threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The win belonged to Adam Corado in relief. His record improves to 2-4. Ensio Katajamaki took the loss for Rio. Buenos Aires now sits at 14-23, while Rio falls to 18-20.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Buenos Aires third baseman Semere Takata, facing Ensio Katajamaki, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Tango the 3-2 win.
"It's great when the crowd goes berserk," Takata said.
