Kangaroos Deal Pharaohs 9-5 Loss
|
The Melbourne Kangaroos beat the Cairo Pharaohs, 9-5. Melbourne pitcher and Risaralda, Colombia, native Edwin Saldivar led the way. The victory gives Melbourne a record of 23-12.
Melbourne needed the clutch hitting of Gebre-Selassie Konchellah to seal the deal. The right fielder swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the 17th inning to put the Kangaroos on top, 8-5. For the game, Konchellah had 1 home run and 1 single in 7 at-bats.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Konchellah.
