The Hanoi Red Dragons stopped the Istanbul Scimitars, 9-7, at Constantinople Coliseum. The Red Dragons got a big game from Iften Tarishi, who went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 4 runs and drove in 4. Earning his 7th save for Hanoi was Dmitr Kagarov. Hanoi goes to 15-17.

The Scimitars had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Red Dragons going into the top of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old first baseman Abruri Mtima came to the plate. Mtima hit a 2-run double on a 2-0 fastball from Istanbul hurler Sayyar Hamzah. It was Mtima's 5th double of the year.

In postgame comments to the Hanoi Times, Mtima said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
