Scimitars Need Extra Frames to Get Past Red Dragons
Despite a great performance by Hanoi designated hitter Brock Riley, the Istanbul Scimitars defeated the Red Dragons by the score of 5-4 in 10 innings at Constantinople Coliseum. Riley went 5-5 with a double and 4 singles. The loss drops the Red Dragons to 14-17.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Istanbul center fielder Rashad bin Lutfi, facing Dmitr Kagarov, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Scimitars the 5-4 win.

"I just tried to make good contact," said bin Lutfi.
