Patriots Use Late Surge to Win
The Hong Kong Patriots beat the Jakarta Jazz, 7-4, at Tianhou Shengmu Park. The Patriots got a fine performance from pinch hitter Deo Kurtha, who was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The loss drops Jakarta to 17-13.

Kurtha had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a first pitch forkball from Stephen Bell, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Patriots a 7-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Kurtha.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Kurtha.
