The Hong Kong Patriots cut down the New Zealand Seals by the score of 11-5, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Seved Andreassen. Andreassen went 3-3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 3 for the Patriots. The loss puts New Zealand at 7-17.

Hong Kong used the timely hitting of Xian-yao Hsu to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Patriots on top, 8-5. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Andreassen told the Hong Kong News.
