Choho Take Tight Tangle
|
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Tokyo Choho and South Africa Black Sox.
Tokyo Choho starter Alexis Alonso turned in an exceptional performance against the South Africa Black Sox at New Koshien Stadium, resulting in a Tokyo win, 3-2. Tokyo, now 11-6, has gotten their season off to a good start.
The climactic moment came in the bottom of the 13th for Tokyo. That's when Nour Sahere, who is a two-time Most Valuable Player Award winner, hit a run-scoring double off Stéphane Gonzalez to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.
"Alexis pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Tokyo manager Nooh bin Ubadah.
