Towers Suffer 6-3 Home Defeat
|
Thanks in large part to right fielder Muti Majid, the Istanbul Scimitars beat the Dubai Towers, 6-3. Majid went 1 for 2 with a double, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI. Othieno Vader earned the save for Istanbul, his 7th of the year. With the win over Dubai, the Scimitars improved to 90-70.
With Istanbul trailing 2-1 in the top of the third, Majid hit a fastball from Sami Mellouk for a bases-clearing double. It was his 32nd double of the season and put the Scimitars ahead, 4-2.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Majid.
