9-6 Loss Extends Paris Losing Streak
|
Good production from second baseman Jon Leon helped the Dublin Druids topple the Paris Revolution, 9-6. Leon went 3-4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Druids. Natalino Murta, the winning pitcher, improved to 10-8. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 4 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 3. Picking up the save was 33-year old right-handed pitcher Owen John.
In the bottom of the seventh, Dublin designated hitter Kawika Hanale had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Hanale stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 9-5, Dublin. For the game, he was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI.
"We're going through a bad spell," said Paris manager Zakiy Abdul-Razzaq.
Paris, at 66-88, has lost 8 straight.
