Tango Beat Toronto, 6-5
|
The Toronto Beavers got a superb performance from catcher Archie Lawton, but the Buenos Aires Tango still won the game, 6-5. Lawton belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Buenos Aires is now riding a 6-game win streak.
Mu'adh bin Awad was the walk-off hero for Buenos Aires. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Tango first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Toronto manager George Thompson. "The effort was great."
