Bangkok Roughed Up By Destroyers
|
Led by Bill Rolfe, the Delhi Destroyers downed the Bangkok Elephants, 8-2. Rolfe slugged 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times for the Destroyers. The winner was Arend Lillesoe, who threw 107 pitches over 9 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 8 hits. Delhi, now 4-12, is off to a slow start.
With Delhi leading 2-0 in the bottom of the third, Rolfe hit a fastball from Rhodes Calpis for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Destroyers ahead, 4-0.
"Our offense was purring," said Delhi manager Geressu Citseko. "Like a well-oiled machine."
