Patriots left fielder Fatih Mahfouz left his mark on his team's 17-4 win over the Bangkok Elephants. Mahfouz, who is tied for 8th in the EL in doubles with 40, slugged 2 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 7 for Hong Kong in the contest. Luca Skinner picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 10 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 11-10. The Patriots move to 69-77 with the win, while the Elephants drop to 62-84.

Hong Kong used a clutch at-bat from Julien Carpentier to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Patriots ahead, 7-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We hit the ball hard," said Hong Kong manager Chris Powell. "Line drive after line drive."
