Skidding Seals Lose 6th Straight
The Hong Kong Patriots weathered a fine game by New Zealand first baseman Justin Morrison to upend the Seals, 6-4, at Tianhou Shengmu Park. Morrison went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Sueichi Ueno, credited with the win in relief, is now 6-4. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Today's win puts Hong Kong at 74-69, while New Zealand falls to 45-97.

Hong Kong took a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when André Pierre hit a clutch solo home run to bring Patriots fans to their feet.

"We're not really clicking on anything right now," said New Zealand manager Aparoksa Vashisth.
