Seoul got a terrific performance from pitcher Sifal Allen, but it wasn't enough to beat the Hong Kong Patriots. Hong Kong won the Tianhou Shengmu Park contest, 2-1. Allen threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Hong Kong is 4th in the Eastern League Far East with a record of 68-70.
Abdul-Halim bin Yunus, who finished 2nd in the WL in stolen bases with 42 in 2107, took Seoul hurler Sifal Allen deep in the bottom of the sixth. His solo home run put the Patriots on top, 2-1. In all, bin Yunus had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 2.
"Runs were at a premium," said Hong Kong manager Omar Argueta.
