Marabouts Lose Again, 4-2, to Black Sox
|
The South Africa Black Sox topped the Marrakesh Marabouts, 4-2, at South African Grounds. South Africa left fielder Rodolfo Saucedo was a spark plug for the offense. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs. Marrakesh is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 10 in a row.
The Marabouts had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Black Sox going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the slick-fielding center fielder Radomir Sebesta came to the plate. Sebesta hit a solo home run on a 0-1 cutter from Marrakesh hurler Roy Cartwright. It was Sebesta's 10th home run of the year.
Marrakesh manager Roberto Babilonia, after yet another defeat, said: "We need to recalibrate."
