Adjeng Hits Two Dingers, Fusion Win, 6-2
|
A 5-RBI performance from Unggul Adjeng, who is tied for 2nd in the EL in stolen bases with 46, helped the Singapore Fusion beat the Istanbul Scimitars, 6-2. The winning pitcher was Birru Makame. His record now stands at 13-6. The right-hander went 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits for the Fusion. The second-place Fusion sport a record of 60-59.
Adjeng had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-2 changeup from Robin Genovese, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Fusion a 4-1 lead. It was the 21st home run of the year for Adjeng.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Adjeng told the Singapore Daily.
