Zahor Leads Charge, Riyadh Blasts Stars
The Riyadh Oryx knocked off the Tehran Stars, 14-3, at Riyadh Ballpark. Abdi Zahor was a big reason Riyadh won. The first baseman went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Osman Jafri, who went 9 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 8-9. The win elevated the Oryx to 58-55.

The Oryx got a big hit from center fielder Billen Kenyatta. Facing Tehran pitcher Isoroku Passanha in the bottom of the eighth, Kenyatta pounded a grand slam home run to left. His 25th home run of the season put the Oryx ahead, 14-2.

Tehran manager Jordan Turcios said: "We got ambushed. We just sashayed into the canyon and they were firing from both sides."
