Led by Arnaldo Secretario, the Marrakesh Marabouts downed the Virunga Volcanoes, 9-7. Secretario went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Marabouts. Stan Murdock got credit for the win, improving to 5-10. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in 5.1 innings. Vid Rhodes collected his 9th save.

Marrakesh took the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Secretario hit a 2-run home run. His 13th home run of the season made the score 5-3, Marrakesh.

"It feels good to get this one," Secretario told the Marrakesh Daily.

The second-place Marabouts go to 59-51.
