Tight Tilt Goes to Bachateros, 2-1

Bachateros Ballpark featured a tense pitchers' duel.
The Santo Domingo Bachateros picked up a win at Bachateros Ballpark, topping the Prague Mammoths, 2-1. On the mound for Santo Domingo was right-hander Osman Jafri. He played a principal role in the triumph. Jafri picked up the win for Santo Domingo, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 4-9.
Nathan Thomas was 1 for 3 for Santo Domingo. The 31-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With no one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Wei-qian Moy. It was his 38th RBI of the season.
"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Prague manager Alonso Benrs. "Obviously."
The win has Santo Domingo at 40-58.
