Red Dragons Move on to World Series
|
The Hanoi Red Dragons "proved we can handle pressure" by beating the League Championship Series and eliminating the Delhi Destroyers, according to series MVP Dohm-Phu Hoang.
"This is the big stage, we're off to the World Series and looking towards the World Series," he said. "There's a lot of pressure at this time of year and it's only going to get more intense from here. But I think we can handle it just fine."
Hanoi won the final game 6-1, to wrap up the series 4-2.
Hoang led his team to the series win by putting up a .333 average, with a .333 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The Hanoi Red Dragons don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Havana Pirates - Barcelona Bulls series. Havana leads the series 3 games to 2. The World Series is scheduled to begin on November 1st , 2108.
