Marabouts Surge Past Nkali to Take 2-0 Series Lead
A big day on the mound from left-hander Luca Skinner was not enough to keep the Marrakesh Marabouts from opening up a healthy early lead in the Wildcard Series. The Marabouts topped Skinner and the Nigeria Nkali 4-3 at Stade de la Mamounia today in Game 2, and now hold a 2-0 edge in the best-of-7 series. Skinner threw 8.2 innings of 4-hit ball in the loss.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Marrakesh trailing 3-0, Jaffer Quraishi jumped on a full count cutter from Masaoki Hayashi for a grand slam home run, sending the Marabouts to a walk-off win.

Quraishi told a Marrakesh Chronicle reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, October 6th , 2109 at Lagos Stadium in Lagos.
