New Zealand Tops Hanoi Again, 6-4
A strong performance from pitcher Christian Uhre was not enough for the Hanoi Red Dragons, who were stopped by the visiting New Zealand Seals, 6-4, in Game 2 of the Wildcard Series. The Seals never truly figured out the right-handed Uhre, who threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Still, the Seals now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-7 series.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Nour Sahere came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Hanoi pitcher Lakew Kihiga, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a 2-run home run. It was a game-changer, putting New Zealand on top, 5-3.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said New Zealand manager Yoon-tae Park.

Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at Field of the Red Dragons in Ha Noi.
