Scimitars Hammered by Halici, Drop Game 4 to Jazz
The Jakarta Jazz knotted up the Wildcard Series at Jakarta Grounds, thanks in large part to left fielder Mircea Halici. Halici went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once as he overpowered the Istanbul Scimitars, enabling Jakarta to grab the 6-4 win and move into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.

There was more than one reason the Jazz beat the Scimitars, but Halici's big at-bat in the bottom of the third was an important factor. He staked his team to a 3-1 lead when he hit a 2-run home run.

Jakarta manager Sandu Gherea praised his team's "businesslike approach."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Jakarta Grounds in Jakarta.
