Kangaroos Knock Off Seals, 10-3
|
Vadim Aleshker knocked in 3 runs to help Melbourne beat New Zealand, 10-3. Aleshker produced 1 single and 1 home run. The save went to Sadiq Basil, his 11th this season. The Seals, now 39-55, have lost 5 straight.
Melbourne got a big at-bat from Piraieús, Greece native Damian Patrianakos, who in the top of the first hit a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Kangaroos ahead, 5-0.
"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said New Zealand manager Ali bin Sayyid.
