Home Loss Shrinks Muertos Series Lead to 2-1
Already down in the Division Series, the Santo Domingo Bachateros put on their best show, beating the Mexico City Muertos by a final score of 7-6 today. Dohm-Phu Hoang was special. He belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Santo Domingo now trails Mexico City 2-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

Santo Domingo used a timely hit from Hugo Polo to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bachateros ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Santo Domingo manager Tekalgn Adjo.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Seafarers Ballpark in Mexico City.
