The Singapore Fusion overcame a good performance by Melbourne third baseman Akhilesa Sanghi to knock off Melbourne, 10-4, at Beresford Park. Sanghi was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win elevated the Fusion to 55-34.

Shortstop Javier Flores made an impact for Singapore, when he swatted a 2-run double off Sharif Chatha in the top of the fifth. For the contest, Flores went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Singapore manager Tatsuya Morimoto.
