Rome turned a fine outing from starter Afellan Dibia into a victory over the Berlin Black Eagles at The Colosseum. The final score was 5-2. The win puts Rome at 33-53.
Dibia, a native of Leku, Ethiopia, was dealing all game. He kept Berlin hitters off-balance, while giving the Gladiators 8 quality innings. Dibia threw 103 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 7.
