Black Sox Score 4-2 Win Over Ethiopia
|
The South Africa Black Sox picked up a win at Ethiopia Field, knocking off the Ethiopia Ibex, 4-2. Starting pitcher Negera Usiku was a big reason why. Tekle-Mariam Shehata was called on to finish, recording his 8th save. The third-place Ibex now sit at 41-43.
Rodolfo Saucedo, who is tied for 6th in the EL with a .325 batting average, had a direct impact on the outcome. Saucedo contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put South Africa up, 3-2.
"Enjoyed this one," Usiku told the South Africa Times. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
