Mammoths Nip Black Eagles, 3-2
|
The Berlin Black Eagles got a superb performance from pitcher Igor Wrobel, but the Prague Mammoths still won the game, 3-2. Wrobel threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball. Werner Schoeeser earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 4-2. The Mammoths now have a mark of 36-46.
Prague took the lead, 3-2, on Akatelaji Jalali's 8th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Berlin pitcher Alexis Lopez in the bottom of the eighth.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Jalali said.
