Volcanoes Bridle Jazz, 2-1
|
The Virunga Volcanoes earned a close win over the Jakarta Jazz, thanks in part to Tamer Kawawe. The Virunga right-hander played a key role in the 2-1 victory. Virunga goes to 30-40, Jakarta to 31-39.
The Volcanoes got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Abdelahi El Hindi. For the game, El Hindi went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Virunga a 2-1 lead.
"Tamer's a gamer," said Virunga manager Edgar Molina. "Glad he's on our side."
