|
Paris Revolution starter Miguel Zapata hurled his team past the Reykjavik Narwhals, 6-2. The winning pitcher was Zapata, now 2-0. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 4. Earning his 1st save of the year was Chi-Cuong Trinh.
Lich Nien had a big run-scoring double for the Revolution in the bottom of the second inning. With Paris leading 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he got a screwball from fan favorite Bhu Dawang and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Revolution ahead, 4-2.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Nien told the Paris News. "But we take nothing for granted."
The win moves Paris to a record of 4-3.
