Gladiators Grind Out 2-0 Win
|
In a tight game between the Rome Gladiators and the Melbourne Kangaroos, pitcher Afellan Dibia was terrific on the mound. The Rome left-hander helped his team to the 2-0 win. Niels Zinck finished to wrap up his 2nd save. The victory makes Rome 23-43.
Rome took a 2-0 lead on Orliber Montebon's 6th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Montebon hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Melbourne pitcher Artur Jukhnev visibly frustrated.
Rome manager Abdalrahman Isra'il commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
