Starting pitcher Sung-hoon Kim pitched well enough to help the Tehran Stars beat the Mexico City Muertos, 5-3. Tehran reliever Saip Prifti picked up the win to move to 3-0. Lopahin Waldaev suffered the loss. The current losing streak for Mexico City has reached 4 games.
Kolonia, Micronesia-born Kalea Tunui came through in the clutch. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Stars trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Tehran on top.
