The home crowd had a good time watching the Nigeria Nkali and Rome Gladiators get after it.

With Baber Ansari leading the charge, the Rome Gladiators defeated the Nigeria Nkali, 8-3. Ansari was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Gladiators. Antonio Salviati earned the win to go to 6-3. He allowed 3 runs on 4 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts in 6 innings of work.

With Rome leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Ansari hit a fastball from Konstatin Ivankin for a 3-run home run. It was his 19th home run of the season and put the Gladiators ahead, 5-1.

"We did a lot of things right," said Ansari.

The Gladiators move to 32-32 with the win, while the Nkali drop to 33-32.
