Torquato Slams 6 Hits for Abu Dhabi
It was a high-five day for John Torquato, at least for a while.

The Abu Dhabi shortstop got plenty of them from his teammates when he reached the five-hit milestone during today's game against the Casablanca Killer Whales, but they were in short supply at the end, as Casablanca won the game, 20-18. Torquato finished with an impressive 6-for-6 line, but the Pearls couldn't hold off the Killer Whales.

"John was hitting everything," said Pearls manager Demissie Tagmaoui. "It's too bad the other guys couldn't rise to the occasion."

John Torquato singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, walked in a run in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

Torquato is hitting .410 this year with 1 home run and 27 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .483, 16 walks and scored 31 times.
