Choho Improve to 31-25 with 8-5 Win
|
Good production from right fielder Bhajana Thundayal helped the Tokyo Choho topple the Hanoi Red Dragons, 8-5. Thundayal was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Choho. Picking up the win was Arthasadhaka Sreedharan. He went 5 innings, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 0. The save went to Daniel Chioh, his 2nd this season.
The Choho got a big at-bat from third baseman Anadare Leura. For the game, Leura was 1-4 with a triple. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Tokyo a 3-2 lead.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Tokyo manager Matt Fink.
The victory gives Tokyo a record of 31-25.
