Seals Top Scimitars, 6-4
|
The New Zealand Seals topped the Istanbul Scimitars, 6-4, with center fielder Panut Subagja playing a big role. Subagja was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Seals in the win. New Zealand, with the win, climbs to 18-37.
New Zealand right fielder Imad al Din Ma'n helped the Seals go up, 4-3, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Ma'n hit a run-scoring double off Istanbul pitcher Rakin bin Naji.
"Nice to get this one," said Subagja. "We've been scuffling."
