Scimitars Lose to Fusion in Walk-Off
The Singapore Fusion defeated the Istanbul Scimitars, 4-3, in Eastern League action at Singapore Stadium. Singapore pitcher Birru Makame had a standout performance. The Fusion, at 33-21, sit in first place in the Eastern League Oceania.

Singapore got a knockout punch from Samuele Castronova. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Castronova.
