Towers Need Extra Frames to Get Past Kangaroos
|
Starting pitcher Ayan Akii-Bua was a major factor in the 3-2 Dubai Towers triumph over the Melbourne Kangaroos. Dubai reliever Baz Ayoob picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Jon Shroll took the loss. The win has Dubai at 20-34.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Dubai center fielder Tabrik Amilakhvari, facing Jon Shroll, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Towers the 3-2 win.
"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Amilakhvari.
