Roper and Cardenas III Brawl, League Suspends Them Thursday, August 31st , 2028 If there wasn't a history between Jackson Roper of Somerset and Xavier Cardenas III of Reading, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 3 and 7 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Roper said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." In 2028 Roper has hit at a .221 clip with 54 hits, 6 home runs, 23 RBIs and has scored 28 times. In 33 relief appearances this season, Cardenas III has 9 saves. He has no wins and 5 losses, 6.94 ERA and 38 strikeouts in 35 innings. |
