North Muskegon Dazzled, Ybarra Hurls No-Hitter
Friday, August 24th , 2068
In a dominant outing, Scotty Ybarra of the Garland Commanders totally silenced the bats of the North Muskegon Trout, finishing with a no-hitter.
In the 4-0 victory, Ybarra faced only 28 batters, surrendered no hits, had 12 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Garland manager said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."
Commenting on the defeat, losing manager had a "pretty simple" analysis of the game.
"The Commanders had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Ybarra pitched a heck of a ballgame."
His record this season is 5-4 in 13 starts and Ybarra has a 1.03 ERA.
