Nationals Torpedoed by Williams in 6-0 Loss to Howard City
Friday, August 2nd , 2069
Howard City Heroes hurler Keith Williams was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Eastern Nationals, shutting them out, 6-0, on 5 hits.
"Keith was very aggressive tonight," Howard City manager said. "He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence."
Through 9 innings, Williams tallied 14 strikeouts and allowed no walks.
"He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well," losing manager Sparky Anderson said. "Williams has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that off-speed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off."
This year, Williams has compiled a 5-4 mark with a 2.51 ERA.
