Farplane-Novi Fight Results in Suspensions Thursday, August 2nd , 2068 Yesterday at Expos Ballpark Glenn Dorsey and John Ashcroft got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Farplane Chocobos and Novi Subdividers. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Dorsey will have to sit out 4 while Ashcroft would be given a 8-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. This year, Dorsey is hitting .262 with 17 home runs and 53 RBIs in 104 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .351 with 41 walks and 49 runs scored. Up to now Ashcroft has recorded a record of 3-2. In 1 starts he has fanned 56 batters in 69.2 innings with a 4.00 ERA. |
