Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Saturday, July 21st , 2068 Yesterday at Sidekicks Ballpark Glenn Dorsey and Jim Brady got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Farplane Chocobos and Muskingum River Otters. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Dorsey will have to sit out 5 while Brady would be given a 3-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. In his 2068 season totals, Dorsey has 16 home runs, .255 BA, .345 OBP, 51 RBIs and 44 runs scored. Brady has earned 1 save and a 5-1 mark this season with a 2.64 earned run average in 18 relief appearances. He has worked 61.1 innings, yielded 52 hits, struck out 64 batters and walked 25. |
